“Let’s Say Hello”

A community outreach program presented by the

Victoria Community Health Co-operative

Supported by Creating Community Wellness Society

About the Program:

How do you feel when the phone rings and it’s someone who really cares about you? What about the people for whom that never happens?  Our volunteers wondered what we can do to make at least one day each week, a day with a friendly phone call.

Kelly, who loves chatting with seniors or anyone who likes to chat (or listen), is our volunteer program organizer and the first caller.

You, and any others connected with the Victoria Community Health Co-op (VCHC), are invited to share the word with your community and suggest people who might like a call – after you’ve been given their expressed permission to pass on their name and number to us. Get in touch with our volunteer callers at vichealthcoop@gmail.com or call 250-415-9272.

How can you support the program?

Donations are encouraged to support this program as well as raise funds for further wellness programming. Any amount is appreciated – however, when you donate to support the Co-op’s programs through their partner organization Creating Community Wellness Society (CCWS), you are eligible to receive a charitable donation receipt for $20 or more. Visit the CCWS website (wellnesscharity.ca) and click “DONATE” or leave a cheque addressed to the Society at 380 Cook St., Victoria, V8V 3X7.
