Hans Kai: Introductory Session

We are delighted to invite you to our first, introductory session of our Hans Kai program to learn more about the program and what it encompasses. Join us tomorrow, Tuesday, November 1st at 5:15pm at the Co-op space (200-1075 Pendergast St).

Hans Kai originated in Japan many decades ago, was brought to Canada by the NorWest Co-op in Winnipeg, and to BC by the Victoria Community Health Co-op. Groups meet weekly and the meetings include a “health check”, a group discussion, and light refreshments! Each week, participants explore a new health topic: about proper eating, sleep hygiene, active socializing, physical fitness, and better mental health and stress management, and more.

At this introductory session, we’ll discuss the focus of the program (we invite you to bring ideas – anything from gourmet cooking to hiking to exploring Cook Street Village, to…), get to know the group, and have a small snack. People who like the idea of the program will sign up and complete the first part of the health check. The registration/intake form will be forwarded to participants following the first meeting.

There is no cost to participate however group size is limited due to our venue capacity. Please contact us to pre-register and ensure we have space to accommodate everyone. Thank you for your interest!
